PCB Design and Layout Services

We design PCBs that clear certification without endless layout spins. Our team focuses on stackup, return paths, and routing so the board layout controls EMI, limits signal integrity issues, and follows DFM rules your manufacturer will actually use. As a result, you move to production faster with hardware that meets IPC and industry requirements not just on paper, but on the test bench.

Frequently Asked Questions

Read this information to better understand Integra’s PCB design services.

Can you build a device prototype?

Yes, we deliver reliable device prototypes through our comprehensive PCB design and development flow. We handle everything from initial schematic design services to complex layout for rigid, flexible, and high-speed boards.

By applying design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) rules right from the start, we eliminate production errors. You receive a verified PCBA optimized for smooth firmware debugging. Our custom PCB design service focuses on making your prototype robust, functional, and easily scalable for manufacturing.

How many layers can I get on a PCB board?

We don’t set a hard limit on multilayer PCB design. In practice, we can design boards with as many layers as your application requires and modern fabrication capabilities support. Most of our PCB design projects fall within the 2–12 layer range, but the final stack-up always depends on the technical requirements.

The number of layers is defined by factors such as routing complexity, controlled impedance requirements, signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC considerations. We aim to meet all electrical and mechanical requirements while avoiding unnecessary layers and added manufacturing costs.

How do you approach PCB design for high-speed or RF applications?

When handling high-speed or RF projects, we focus on signal integrity and EMI from the stack-up stage. Our high-speed PCB design services cover everything from controlled impedance and return path optimization to crosstalk mitigation.

For dense layouts, we use HDI PCB design techniques like microvias to minimize parasitic effects. If it’s a wireless project, our RF PCB design services include antenna tuning, matching networks, and shielding strategies. Finally, we run PCB design verification to catch any issues before the hardware hits the production line.

What technologies do you use for PCB design and layout?

We use Altium Designer, Eagle Cad, Cadence Allegro, OrCad, and KiCad. All these programs support complex board design with high-speed constraints and advanced routing. We maintain extensive, verified component libraries for each of these CAD tools. If you prefer a specific tool, we are happy to accommodate your requirements.

Do you validate PCB layouts before production?

Validation is an integral part of PCB design and layout. To validate our work, we use comprehensive Design Rule Check (DRC) and Electrical Rule Checks (ERC). We also perform signal and power integrity modeling using specialized software. But most importantly, we rely on proven design methodologies accumulated over years of work.

Can you estimate the cost of the final device before it's built?

Yes. If you have a specification or a list of requirements, we can pre-select the necessary components and prepare a preliminary BOM. We can also consult with manufacturers and vendors regarding any customized components your device might need.

Based on these data, including the BOM and mechanical constraints, we evaluate the complexity and dimensions of the board to estimate the manufacturing costs for your target production volume. If you don’t have a full specification yet, our team can help you prepare one to get an accurate estimate.

Can you guarantee the quality of the product?

Yes. We guarantee PCB reliability by integrating strict quality control into every step of the layout process. Our team runs schematic reviews, multi-level DRC checks, signal integrity analysis, and DFM/DFA validation before delivering the final files.

Once the project is complete, you receive production-ready documentation: Gerber files, an accurate BOM, assembly data, and technical manuals. We also provide a free warranty period to promptly resolve any layout issues or footprint mismatches. For future upgrades, we remain available to handle component replacements and board modifications.

Can you help me with certification?

Yes. Certification and compliance requirements are integrated into our PCB design workflow from day one. We design PCB layouts to meet international standards such as CE, FCC, UL, and RoHS from the start.

Our engineers optimize stackup, grounding, signal routing, and component placement to minimize EMI/EMC risks during lab testing. We also prepare the technical documentation package required for manufacturing, compliance review, and certification support.
